During a meeting of the shareholders of the Geopolitics and Security Studies Center (hereinafter – the Center), the composition of the Center’s Advisory Board was approved.

Simonas Šatūnas and Mantas Martišius were appointed Vice-Presidents of the Advisory Board.

Simonas Šatūnas is an experienced diplomat who currently heads the cabinet of European Commissioner Andrius Kubilius, responsible for defence and space. Previously, he served as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and worked at the European Commission and at Lithuania’s Permanent Representation to the European Union. For his contribution to strengthening Lithuania’s defence at the EU level, he was awarded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ honorary badge, the “Star of Lithuanian Diplomacy.”

Dr. Mantas Martišius is the Chair of the Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania, an Associate Professor at Vilnius University’s Faculty of Communication, and a Doctor of Social Sciences. His academic and analytical work covers research in political communication, propaganda, information warfare, and strategic communication.
