Analysing international policy processes and Lithuania’s role in them

During a meeting of the shareholders of the Geopolitics and Security Studies Center (hereinafter, the Center), the composition of the Center’s Advisory Board was approved.

Advisory Board

Elisabeth Bauer President of the Advisory Board

Former long-serving head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Baltic States and Scandinavia, and a member of the “Women in International Security” board.

Dr. Mantas Martišius Vice-President of the Advisory Board

Chair of the Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania, Associate Professor at the Journalism and Media Research Centre of Vilnius University’s Faculty of Communication, and a Doctor of Social Sciences. His academic and analytical work focuses on research into political communication, propaganda, information warfare, and strategic communication.

Simonas Šatūnas Vice-President of the Advisory Board

An experienced diplomat who currently heads the cabinet of European Commissioner Andrius Kubilius, responsible for defence and space. He previously served as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and worked at the European Commission and Lithuania’s Permanent Representation to the European Union. For his contribution to strengthening Lithuania’s defence at the EU level, he was awarded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ honorary badge, the “Star of Lithuanian Diplomacy.”
