Annual GSSC Vilnius Forum
Remembering our great past, believing in patriotism, and believing that international relations must be governed by wisdom, we Lithuanians believe in a happy future for Lithuania.
From the Stasys Lozoraitis Conference to the GSSC Vilnius Forum
During the Soviet occupation, the Chief of the Lithuanian Diplomatic Service was the highest de jure legal official of the Lithuanian state. In this capacity, Stasys Lozoraitis’ work encompassed two main areas: the restoration of Lithuanian statehood and the further protection of the rights and interests of Lithuania and its citizens.
The annual “Chief of Diplomacy” Stasys Lozoraitis conference on Lithuania’s foreign policy aims to bring together decision makers, academics, experts and public figures at a round table to develop visions for the country’s future foreign policy by examining the past.
Since 2015, the conference has grown from a local expert event to an international forum bringing together Lithuanian and foreign experts, academics and decision-makers.
The event attracts more than 100 participants each year and receives wide media coverage. The conference is live streamed in Lithuanian and English.
Since 2025, the event has been renamed the GSSC Vilnius Forum. The new title preserves the tradition of the Stasys Lozoraitis conference while reflecting the broader thematic and international scope of the event. In 2026, the 12th GSSC Vilnius Forum will take place.
Remembering our great past, believing in patriotism, and believing that international relations must be governed by wisdom, we Lithuanians believe in a happy future for Lithuania.
