Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas joins the Geopolitics and Security Studies Center (GSSC) as an Associate Expert.
Eitvydas Bajarūnas is a former Lithuanian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Russia, and Sweden, with more than three decades of service in the Lithuanian diplomatic corps. He is among Lithuania’s best-known diplomats, with deep expertise in foreign policy, NATO and EU affairs, hybrid threats, and defence policy.
After stepping back from active diplomacy, Ambassador Bajarūnas became a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), where he focuses on deterrence against hybrid threats. At GSSC, he will contribute to the development of research and strategic projects related to international security and the security challenges of the Baltic-Nordic region.
