On July 30th, GSSC hosted an event – “Moldova’s EU Path and the 2025 Elections: Shared Perspectives from Moldova and Lithuania.” The event featured the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Christina Gherasimov, and the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Sigitas Mitkus, and was moderated by the Center’s Project Manager, Dominykas Nedzinskas.
During the discussion, both speakers shared their perspectives on the process of Moldova’s integration into the European Union, covering issues such as Russian interference in the upcoming parliamentary elections, as well as ongoing efforts to reform the judiciary and recover the economy. Despite the many obstacles Moldova has faced in its process of EU integration, participants affirmed a cautious hope for continued success. This event showcases the enduring commitment of both Lithuania and the Center towards supporting Moldovan integration.
